Cookies Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies, your choices, and how to withdraw consent.
1. About cookies
1.1. Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, or to work more efficiently, and to provide reporting and personalisation information to site owners.
1.2. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and SDKs (collectively "cookies" in this policy).
2. Consent and your choices
2.1. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR") require us to obtain your prior consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.
2.2. When you first visit the Site, you will see a cookie banner. You can:
- Accept all — we use the cookies described in the table below;
- Reject all — we use only strictly necessary cookies;
- Manage preferences — accept or reject specific categories.
2.3. You can change your choices at any time by clearing the cookies and site data for OnlinePhotoPrinting.co.uk in your browser settings — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also email us at hi@onlinephotoprinting.co.uk and we will reset your consent record on request.
2.4. Your consent is recorded for 12 months. After this period we will ask you to confirm your choices again.
2.5. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the Site cannot function without them (PECR reg 6(4)).
3. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Example | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login session, cart, CSRF protection, security | session_id, cart_token | Session – 30 days | No |
| Preferences | Remember language, region, accessibility settings | locale, currency | Up to 12 months | Yes |
| Analytics | Understand how the Site is used to improve it (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) | _ga, _gid, _clck, _clsk | Up to 24 months | Yes |
| Marketing | Relevant adverts on other sites; campaign measurement | _fbp, NID, IDE | Up to 13 months | Yes |
4. Third-party cookies
4.1. Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:
- Stripe — payment fraud detection (strictly necessary at checkout).
- Google Analytics 4 — analytics with Consent Mode v2 (consent required).
- Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps (consent required).
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising (consent required).
- YouTube / social embeds — only loaded after consent.
4.2. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies. We have no control over how third parties use cookies; please consult their websites.
5. Browser controls
5.1. In addition to our cookie banner, you can manage cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Site from working. Search "manage cookies in [browser name]" for instructions.
6. Do Not Track
6.1. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because no industry consensus on their interpretation exists. Your cookie banner choices are authoritative.
7. Changes
7.1. We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date is at the foot of this page.
